Zarina is a Counselling Psychologist registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa  (HPCSA), and the Board of Healthcare Funders (BHF). She completed her undergraduate, postgraduate and masters degree at Wits University.

Her work experience includes high schools, women shelters, government hospitals and clinics. She has also lectured and supervised psychology students psychology at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. Having worked in communities such as Soweto,  Riverlea, Sandton, Alexander, Lenasia, Ennerdale, Randfontein, Hillbrow and Roodepoort has contributed to her flexibility and interest in cultural diversity.


Zarina’s therapeutic understanding is informed by psychodynamic psychotherapy, and her counselling approach is integrative.  She offers both brief and long-term therapy. Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT, level 1 and 2), as well as brainspotting, are tools used to assist the process.


A non-judgemental, warm and safe space wherein ethical standards and professionalism is upheld.  Zarina guides you and works at a pace comfortable to her patients.  She has the utmost respect for her patients’ experiences and feelings, and always has their best interests at heart. Zarina provides a supportive space that brings clarity, and a better sense of understanding of yourself and of your relationships
